What is a vein light?
Delays in care in newborn and infants are often due to failed attempts at attaining IV access. Vein lights (transilluminators) are used by pediatric nurses to assist in visualizing veins in newborns and infants. By holding the specialized red lens light firmly against the patient's skin underneath the hands, feet, and elbows (anatomy may vary in patients) in a dark room it will illuminate through the child's skin to help visualize the veins. Firefly Vein Light will assist in the use of your existing IV skills on the smallest patients.

What make Firefly unique?
Firefly was hand designed by two pediatric travel nurses that saw much room for improvement on the existing lights in practice. Evan and Adam have hand crafted Firefly and have consulted and designed the vein light with some impressive local (California) engineers to produce one of the smallest and most practical vein light on the market.
